Went out onto verandah this morning to be greeted by the sight of a LW baby in buddlejah tree opposite - just sitting on a branch staring back. Later the family were back feeding from the bottlebrush. The third LW was feeding them again - occasionally being scolded or chased away. The babies seem quite adept at flying (I think the tail feathers are longer, don't you?) although they're not quite up to catching insects yet and these form a major part of their diets. Wonder if the pic above and the ones below are of two different babies - the one in the buddlejah appears browner to me, but perhaps it's the light...
