Colluricincla harmonica Or, simply, Grey Thrush, this engaging bird is common throughout Australia except for arid regions and a delightfully unafraid visitor to gardens. Most sources agree that these birds form lifelong pairs and I'm glad that they've claimed the garden as territory - there are other Shrike-thrushes around too - their crisp and lovely song can be heard echoing in the distance.
