It's been a dry autumn, but two lots of rain in May- about 15mm in each - have been enough to transform the dusty brown into the beginnings of lush winter green. June also heralds a time of plenty for the insects and birds - with a joyful explosion of buds, blooms and fungi. And there's nothing quite as intensely blue as a winter sky on a sunny day.

These new shots are breathtaking. I thought that blue intensity impossible to catch. And the hallucinatory, graphic precision of the glittering eye and feather of New Holland Honeyeater and the Little Wattlebird makes me feel like an intimate participant in these wonders. Thank you from the heart!
