More good fortune yesterday as, while the male LW was alternating between feasting on banksia and defending his territory, The female had emerged from cover and was hawking - catching insects on the wing - launching herself from the pink gum opposite verandah. Then the male joined her. The main difference I can see is that he has dark cheeks while hers are white - but this might be deceptive, dependent on how the feathers align when the bird moves its head. Still, I was mightily please to get this photo and be able to share it with you. Especially as it's the only photo I was able to get before she flew away.
